Evonne Goolagong Tennis Day

On 29 March, 11 students from Year 7 to 11 participated in the Evonne Goolagong, Indigenous Tennis Come and Try Day at Bomaderry Tennis Courts. The students had an enjoyable day. 

“I really enjoyed the Evonne Goolagong excursion. I found it really inspiring meeting Evonne. Overall, it was an amazing day and the coaches were really helpful and happy.”

Young Koori Womens Group

Last week of Term One, Gooroon had a great time with the team from Waminda, Young Koori Women's Group. They talked about services provided in our community and preparing for their lives after Year 12. The girls enjoyed various activities including creating a Visual Inspirational Board to set goals and build on their future aspirations. This was a wonderful experience for the girls and a great opportunity for Waminda to showcase their services.
