At St John’s we prepare our students for a future in a corporate and professional environment. As such we have a clear uniform policy to ensure students are able to meet expectations when they enter the work environment. Currently there are a number of uniform issues present in our student population. Can parents/carers please ensure that students are meeting the uniform guidelines in the diary on pages 20 -24. 

• Hair should be off the collar and tied up. 
• The mullet style haircuts whilst popular amongst the younger generation are not appropriate for our school setting. 
• Students are allowed one piercing in each ear. This must be a single stud and sleeper and must be in the lower lobe.
• No other facial piercings are permitted. Covering these with bandaids is not appropriate
• Boys should be clean shaven. 
• The sport jacket can only be worn with the sports uniform. With the current weather, if students are cold they can wear their woollen school jumper or school blazer. 
• Sport shorts for boys and girls must be the appropriate length - no shorter than mid thigh and not rolled up.
