ST JOHN'S ANZAC ASSEMBLY
The annual St John's ANZAC Assembly will be held at 8:45am on Thursday 28 April. Guests are to arrive and sign in at our school office by 8:30am.
Year 9 History students are preparing a presentation, a guest speaker from HMAS Albatross will give an address and Father Joseph will give a short homily. During the formal part of the assembly, our students who are Navy, Army and Air Force cadets form a guard, the Last Post and Reveille are played and the national anthems of New Zealand and Australia are sung. It is always a very moving and special assembly.

Parents and carers are invited to join us for this assembly. For seating and catering purposes, please RSVP to the school office on 4423 1666 or info@sjedow.catholic.edu.au by Tuesday 26 April if you would like to attend.
ST JOHN'S ANZAC MARCH
Each year on 25 April, students from St John's represent the school at ANZAC marches and services all around the Shoalhaven. At each venue, a member of staff will be present, students will take part in the march, attend the service and senior students will lay a wreath on behalf of the school. An event has been put on Compass and all students are invited to sign up to take part in these very special ceremonies. Please see the following table for details of meeting places and times.
The cut off date for signing up may seem early, but it has been chosen so that the lists of participants can be finalised and passed to the supervising teacher before the end of Term 1. All students who attend will receive a merit or passport entry.
