ASSORTED NEWS
CROSS COUNTRY
Our annual school cross country was held on Wednesday 27 April, kicking off with all Year 7 & 8 students in the morning session. It was fabulous to see almost the entire Year 7 & 8 cohort participate and earn points for their house.

The afternoon session wasn't quite as fortunate with the weather, enduring consistent rainfall throughout the session for competitors in Years 9-12. The rain along with a very muddy course didn't deter students from completing their race, finishing with many outstanding performances, masses of mud and a soaking of not just rain, but smiles all around!

We wish to thank the parents/carer volunteers, Year 12 SRC and staff who also braved the challenging conditions to assist in making the day a success and ensuring the safety of all students.
Special mention also to the following students who placed first in their cross country event;
NSW CCC AFL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Jamaica-Rose Martin (Year 8), Hannah Phillips (Year 8) and Oliver Driscoll (Year 9) recently representing at the NSW CCC AFL Championships in Wagga.

YEAR 10 MARINE & AQUACULTURE
Year 10 Marine & Aquaculture students recently participated in an Open Water Snorkelling Course, developing their skills with several sessions at Nowra Aquatic Centre and the beautiful Jervis Bay.
IMPRESSIVE 59 DANCERS
Our dance program continues to shine, with an impressive 59 students from Years 7-12 preparing to represent our school at this Thursday’s Shoalhaven Dance Eisteddfod held at Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre.
It’s a remarkable achievement to be entering 3 different routines including beginner to advanced dancers.

Congratulations to our students for taking on the challenge! We also commend you for the support & encouragement you provide to each other to develop new skills & ensure everyone is included and having fun!
Thank you to Miss Lloyd for the time & effort you put in to make this possible.

GIRLS’ FITNESS GROUP
Year 10 students are offered the choice of numerous activities for their weekly sport.
The girls’ fitness group is a popular choice, with students engaging in circuit training to develop their muscular & cardiovascular endurance. This group put in a fantastic effort!
