ATHLETES DOMINATE DIOCESE ATHLETICS

On Friday 29 July, 17 of our students represented at the Wollongong Diocese Athletics Carnival, held at Campbelltown.

Our students had an early start to the day, with the bus departing school at 6am and returning just before 5pm.

In addition to the performances in events, the behaviour, efforts and conduct by our students was exemplary. You are outstanding role models, we are proud of you representing our school.

The carnival included some tough competition, with athletes from 13 schools vying for selection in the Wollongong Diocese Representative team. This was a tough feat, with only first place getters in field events and 400m, and the first two place getters in track events earning selection.

Special mentions also to Matthew Page, who broke the 15 years boys javelin record and to 14 year old Max Marshall who finished his 100m in 11.7, the fastest run of any athlete at the event!
