YEAR 1O WORK EXPERIENCE
Term 4 Week 9 : Monday 5 - Friday 9 December
All Year 10 students need to return their work experience forms to Mrs Hill no later than Monday 7 November 2022, to be approved.
All Year 10 students have access to the paperwork electronically through the Year 10 Careers Google Classroom page, hard copies have been given in PALS. All students need to be well prepared for work experience and the work readiness certificate is a mandatory requirement for SJE students to be safe in the workplace. WHITE CARD COURSES
A full white card course is running at school on Wednesday 9 November.
A second course will be run at school this year if enough students express their interest.
This is a good opportunity for Year 9 students so they can enter construction sites for labouring casual work or do work experience in the construction industry during Year 10.
2023 BENDIGO BANK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Applications are open for the 2023 Bendigo Bank Sanctuary Point & Districts Scholarship Program.
Scholarships are available to academically outstanding students whose financial or social circumstances limit their tertiary aspirations. A scholarship helps cover study and accommodation costs that rural and regional students face in their first years of tertiary education. Bendigo Bank will be offering one University scholarship and one TAFE scholarship for 2023. Scholarship criteria includes student academic achievement, community involvement, leadership roles and details of their financial and/or social disadvantage. Applications close on 31 January 2023. INDUSTRY 4.0 OUW SHOALHAVEN CAMPUS OPEN DAY
The Industry 4.0 Hub at the UOW Shoalhaven Campus is having a Community Open Day. It is an open invitation for people to drop by to see what the Industry 4.0 Hub has to offer, see the equipment in action and get a hands-on go at making something.
