GIRLS' LEAGUE TAG GALA DAY
U/16 Girls' League Tag Team
The U16 Girls League Tag Day was a huge success, learning and coming together not just individually but as a team.
The day began with a tense start against Nowra High but after warming up, the girls began to form into a cohesive and adaptive team which eventually led them to their first win 3-0.
The next game against Kiama 2 was tough, the scores neck and neck until the very last minute when our full back, Ruby, pulled through, securing our spot in the grand final.
Minutes before the grand final, the girls hyping each other up in an attempt to rid the nerves, and the anticipation of how the game would fold out dawned on all of us. Once the game began it wasn't too long before Kiama 1 created a gap we couldn't come back from. Despite the loss all the girls kept their heads held high and retained the team spirit that was alive from the start of the first game. Additionally, the connectedness throughout the team, and a 2nd place made the day more memorable and one that we will never forget!

The Under 14's won both the first two games convincingly against Shoalhaven High and Bomaderry High. We then progressed into the semifinals against Nowra High. A tough game but we won on the bell and got the chance to play in the Grand Final against Kiama. Another very tough game with a great opposition, but we unfortunately lost by two tries. We were all so proud of how far we made it and felt very honoured to represent the school.
Thank you to all the staff that made this day possible!
