YEAR 9 NEWS
REFLECTION DAY
On 23 November Year 9 participated in their Reflection Day. This Year's theme was ‘Stewards of Creation’.
Year 9 had the opportunity to participate in many interesting and thought provoking activities:
- Analysis and discussion of the Laudato Si’; Vote With Your Feet
- Canticle Meditation
- JAG Walk and Talk at the Sustainable Garden
- Making of Endangered Animals Artwork and discussion
- Cosmic Walking Meditation
- Seed Planting and Reflection at the Yarn Circle

The feedback from our amazing staff members who facilitated these activities reported that the cohort participated with reverence and respect. Many students engaged in deep conversation and took up the challenge to ‘be the change’ our planet deserves.

I would like to thank all of the staff members that ran these group sessions, specifically Mr Jack Lopez who dedicated significant time to ensuring the day ran smoothly and effectively.
YEAR 9 AGRICULTURE
Our Year Nine agriculture class was fortunate to have Mr. Paul Hogan visit the school to sheer our resident alpaca ‘Daniella’.
Students were able to experience firsthand how an alpaca is shorn, gaining valuable knowledge in the different grades of wool from the different parts of the alpacas body.
Thank you to Mr Hogan for donating his time.

YEAR 9 SPORT
Our Year 9 students recently enjoyed the sunshine by the surf playing beach games for sport.
