You are truly wonderful!
Thanks also to @shoalhavenzoo for your donation of a family pass to assist.

We are so proud of the care and compassion our students show for others.

JAG PRESENT STAFF TRAINING

During Week 8, Johnnies Action Group (JAG) ran an educational session for staff on our School Environmental Management Plan. The 1 hour session involved three workshops run by Miss Freshwater, Ms Swan and Mr Higgins.

The aim of the day was to engage staff with the environmental aspects of St John’s and all of the sustainability initiatives we have at school.

Miss Swan took teachers to the JAG Sustainable Garden and Worm Farms to demonstrate use of our composting system and being sustainable at St John's.

Mr Higgins took teachers to the bush to talk about using outdoor spaces around the school for learning.

Miss Freshwater led a workshop for teachers about being sustainable as individuals in their own lives where staff completed an ecological footprint calculator, looked at where their money is invested and investigated alternatives to single use plastic. We hope St John's staff left the workshops feeling more inspired to protect our planet Earth.

Thank you to our staff and the following student volunteers who assisted with our training; Grace Hartigan, Riley Mason, Georgina Hooke, Isabella Menzies, Bethany Fenech, Alexandra Leerson, Jasmine Barber, Kiki Macas and Ashley Fuller.
