ANZAC MEMORIAL
On Thursday 27 April our school commemorated ANZAC Day with an ANZAC Day assembly. Mr Gary Gilligan from the Nowra RSL presented our school with a donation of books and Warrant Officer William McConnell was our Navy guest speaker. Warrant Officer McConnell spoke about the important role of the ADF assisting those in need and called upon those present to emulate this within their own lives and community. Fr Michael from Star of the Sea Parish in Milton also spoke to the students about the important role that chaplains and padres have within the Defence Forces. The assembly was a moving experience for all present.
ANZAC MARCHES
St John's students and staff represented the school at all eleven ANZAC Day marches and services within the Shoalhaven region. The reverence and grace shown by all participating students was exemplary.
IN MEMORY OF MR LEN SEYFFER
It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Mr Len Seyffer. Mr Seyffer is known to many in our school community and attended many of our school ANZAC Assemblies. Mr Seyffer addressed our ANZAC Assembly in 2012 and we have attached an extract from that Assembly. Our school community would like to extend our condolences to Mr Seyffers' family.
