DA VINCI DECATHLON - 2 DAY EVENT

DAY 1 - STAGE 4

On Thursday 11 May, two teams of eight St John's students travelled to The Illawarra Grammar School to participate in Day 1 of the Da Vinci Decathlon. Our school joined twenty other schools across the South Coast and South Sydney in a fun day where students engaged in ten activities such as engineering, code breaking and performance. It was a great day for students to apply collaboration and critical thinking skills. There was even time for a friendly interschool game of soccer.

DAY 2 - STAGE 5

On Friday 12 May, 11 students had a blast participating in Day 2 of the Da Vinci Decathlon. They applied logic, strategy and knowledge. Their behaviour, attitude and engagement on the day was exemplary. Well done!

YEAR 10 & YEAR 12 CAREERS EXPO

Over the last two days, students from Year 12 and Year 10 were inspired by over 100 exhibitors at the 2023 Illawarra Careers Expo. Industry career experts from TAFE, Universities, Defence, Local Businesses, and Training Organisations were on hand to give students guidance on career direction. There are so many incredible opportunities and bright pathways ahead of you! Thank you for engaging so positively over the day SJE! 

BIBLE REFLECTION

On Monday 15 May the first Bible discussion was held. It was an enlightening and engaging experience. Even though the Bible was written a long time ago it is still relevant and interesting.

We hope to see you at the next meeting which will be held on Monday 29 May (B week) to hear more on different peoples thoughts on the Bible passages.
