YEAR 12 CHEMISTRY - NSW SCHOOLS TITRATION COMPETITION

The NSW Schools Titration Competition is a quantitative analytical competition open to HSC Chemistry students. Students complete a set of acid-base titrations to determine the unknown concentration of a weak acid. The team's score will depend on the accuracy of the work of its members. This is a great opportunity for our students to extend their knowledge and skills. St John’s entered two teams in the 2023 competition. Our students performed superbly and we placed 2nd overall out of all of the schools competing at our venue.
Congratulations to all the year 12 students involved! ?

YEAR 12 GEOGRAPHY - JERVIS BAY

Last week the Year 12 Geography students spent an awesome day at Jervis Bay undertaking fieldwork related to both their Economic Enterprise case study, Wobegone Freedive, and their Ecosystem at Risk case study, the Great Southern Reef. Students had the opportunity to take part in a freedive session with Woebegone and those that did thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was glorious and visibility in the water was amazing.
