PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
Foundation Day
This Friday we celebrate our Foundation day, a very special day for our school community. St John The Evangelist Catholic High School is the realisation of the dream and hard work of the Nowra catholic parish of St Michael’s. Parishioners raised the funds for the school with lamington drives and chook raffles. They would be very proud today as they look not only on what a wonderful school they established but how their active engagement is so evident in the students of St John’s even more so today. They are active and informed citizens who give their time to raise awareness and funds for organisations and issues such St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies Youth), the environment (JAG), equality for all (PAX), kindness (Bully-busters) and Youth ministry to name a few.

We will celebrate a whole school mass together, enjoy a ‘country fair’ organised by everyone and then watch many students and staff showcase their talents.
Year 6 Workshops
Students from St Michael’s and St Mary’s worked with the staff and students at St John’s in workshops in Science, Drama, Agriculture and Bushcraft. They also watched a science show highlighting many of the fun aspects of real science concepts. It was such a fun day for everyone.
