NAIDOC CELEBRATIONS - COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES 2023
CULBURRA AND DISTRICTS PRESCHOOL
On Thursday 27 July St John's Aboriginal Dancers celebrated with Culburra and Districts Preschool at Orient Point for their NAIDOC Celebration.
NOWRA ANGLICAN COLLEGE
On Friday 28 July our Aboriginal Dancers - Garindja performed for Nowra Anglican College's NAIDOC Celebration.
Our dancers are passionate about their culture and have performed for many NAIDOC Celebrations this year throughout the wider community.
IMAGINE PRESCHOOL
On Thursday 3 August our Aboriginal Dancers were asked to perform for Imagine Preschool at their NAIDOC Celebrations.
YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
On Wednesday 2 August Atlee Manners and Aidan Cook of Year 10 attended the Shoalhaven City Council's Youth Advisory Committee Meeting.
The purpose of the committee is to represent the interests and views of young people to Council and the Community.
At Wednesday's meeting a presentation was delivered by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. These topics on the future of the Shoalhaven were discussed:
Increase in population and density
Land use for the future of the Shoalhaven
Deforestation
Infrastructure
Effects on our coastline - Erosion
Coastal Management Programs
