Did you know that there are over 122,000 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in Australia? Homelessness is not exclusive to living on the streets. It also includes living in your car and couch surfing. These conditions are extremely difficult to live in, especially during winter. 

To support homelessness awareness and people in need, vinnies is putting together food and toiletry packs to be donated to people in need. We ask every one of you to bring in items to support this cause.

This includes packs of sultanas, popcorn, muesli bars, dip its, juice boxes and toothpaste, toothbrush, soap , sanitary items, shampoo, combs, etc. The list is open for all staff and students to bring in items to make these packs possible. 

Fortunately, the Saint Vincent de Paul society around Wollongong and Nowra has food vans to ensure that these people get a warm dinner a couple of times a week. It is here that our snack packs and toiletry packs will get handed out to make life a little easier for those doing it tough this winter.

Even if its just throwing in an extra box of muesli bars while doing the shopping, your support will be greatly appreciated. Any donations can be left in the student foyer.
