NSW ALL SCHOOLS NETBALL REGIONAL FINALS

The Boys netball NSW all schools regional finals were held on the 3rd of August at our local, brand new Shoalhaven Netball courts.

It was all on the line in the junior boys netball division at the regional finals. Our two junior teams had a very successful day and ended up meeting each other in the semi final play-off. Ms Berrymans team won this contest in double extra time to put them into the grand final. They came away with the win in the grand final. The boys are heading to the state final in November.

NSWCCC NETBALL

The NSWCCC Netball competition was held on August 15th in Penrith. We sent 4 teams away to compete in the competition: 2 boys teams and 2 girls teams. Our girls teams in both the junior and intermediate age groups were put into the championship division for the first time. The girls showed great fight, spirit and sportsmanship as they battled it out with the best teams in the NSW diocese. Although we fought hard, the opposition schools proved to be too strong on the day.

This was the first year that boys have been included in the NSWCCC netball competition, and what a solid first effort it was for our boys. Both teams had some challenging matches throughout the day, with the Sydney schools producing some really great competitive boys teams. Our senior boys team came in 3rd overall for the day. Most impressive was our junior boys team, who claimed a silver medal taking out second place for the day. Our school now stands as second in the state in the junior boys division. They were strong and consistent throughout the whole day, proving to be a great threat to take out top spot in the years to come. This is also a result of the boys dedication to their training sessions here at school, and listening to their coaches feedback both during training and on the day. Well done to everyone who attended on the day, and a big thanks to Shoalhaven netball association for providing us with umpires.
