2023 STANSW YOUNG SCIENTISTS AWARDS - RUNNER UP
YEAR 12 2024 ABORIGINAL STUDIES - STATE LIBRARY OF NSW
On Tuesday 28th November, the year 12, 2024 Aboriginal Studies class went to the State Library of NSW. Currently there is an exhibition called "WADGAYAWA NHAY DHAHJAN WARi" which means "they made them a long time ago". The exhibition showcases 30 items which have been returned from museums around the world. The project featured quotes from community members of La Perouse and the Gujaga Foundation. Students also accessed resources for their major projects


YEAR 10 CHILD STUDIES - EARLY START DISCOVERY SPACE AT UOW EXCURSION
On Thursday the 30th of November, our two Year 10 Child Studies classes attended an excursion to the Early Start Discovery Space at UOW.
1. Guest lecture: A UOW Early Years Academic delivers an interactive, 45 minute lecture on learning-through-play and the Early years programs on offer at UOW.
2. Independent Play: Students (and teachers!) were encouraged to play with all the Experiences on offer in the Discovery Space.
3. Guided Tasks: Students participate in two short activities at two of the most popular experiences, linked directly to NSW Syllabus outcomes.
