YEAR 9 NEWS
Dear Year 9,
You are the highlight of my days at school. As our year winds down, your PALS teachers and I wanted to wish you all an awesome holiday season . We hope your days on holidays are filled with joy, laughter and good times. Stay safe, have a fantastic Christmas and move into the New Year with excitement. You have all grown up in so many ways this year and we as teachers love working with you and I can’t wait to see what amazing things you will achieve in the next one in 2024. Happy holidays everyone.
Best wishes and kind regards: Mr Vaughan
MATHEMATICS DAY
"On Friday the 8th of December Year 9 took part in a Mathematics day. This taught us how to measure and calculate the area of different places. We also got to weigh goats and water the gardens with seasol that we measured ourselves. We were able to work collaboratively with people we might not usually work with and learn new things. Most people participated and made the most of it. It was a day that was well spent learning and doing things we would not normally do."

SOCIAL GAMES
Year 9 were offered the opportunity to play in a modified European Handball tournament at school across 2 days in weeks 9 and 10. It was a fantastic atmosphere in the gym while matches were played in very hot and humid conditions. The idea of these events is to allow the year group to come together in a relaxed, fun and sporty way and this was achieved.
The winning was comprised of the following students:
Mathilda Lobina, Katie Martin, Anya Ellerington, Jack Fernie, Charles Holden, Viktor Creighton & Blayne Rumble
