SHOALHAVEN HEADS SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB
Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club is launching the summer patrol season on 29 September 2024.
As Shoalhaven is a coastal LGA, Nippers is a great way for kids in primary to early high school to build skills for life, confidence in the ocean and new friendships
We are also actively recruiting volunteers of all ages to join us as patrol members (from 13yrs to mature age). Youth involvement as surf club cadets, volunteering and patrolling, fits well into curriculum development areas focussed on community and sport and wellbeing, and SLSA activities support many of the module options for students involved in on the Duke of Edinburgh Program.
It's also a great activity for the whole family to get involved in together from juniors to seniors, and we have parents who have signed up to our courses with their teens and go on to patrol together. The SLSA Bronze Medallion is an accredited ASQA Cert 2 course so great foundation for pre-employment and further education pathways.

HSC LOCK IN - NOWRA LIBRARY
Nowra Library is planning to run an HSC Lock In session for local HSC students on Wednesday, 9th October from 5-9pm.
We’re hoping that this will be a good time for some last-minute study, access to study resources and cuddles with a local therapy dog! Pizza and snacks will be provided.
