On Friday the 8th of November, St John’s Aboriginal Dance Troupe performed at Culburra Preschool as part of our 2024 NAIDOC performances within the community. Students danced the Welcome, Heartbeat, Pipi, Taba Naba, Black cockatoo and Lyrebird. The highlight of the day was watching the dance troupe teach the younger children how to move to each of the dances. They loved the clapsticks and music! 

The day ended with a sausage sizzle and morning tea. Students were commended on their kind nature and willingness to teach. Their performance offers a beautiful celebration of Aboriginal culture, while helping to educate and share this knowledge with future generations.
