YEAR 7 NEWS

On Friday the 15th of November, the Year 7 cohort participated in their first Reflection Day—a day to pause, connect, and grow together. The day began with a beautiful liturgy inspired by the Emmaus Story, which set a reflective tone. Students then came together for a year group photo, celebrating our motto: “With Jesus, we can reach the highest of heights.”
The journey continued with a trip to Callala, where activities focused on spirituality and building stronger connections within our group. It was heartwarming to see students engage meaningfully and grow in their understanding of themselves and each other. A huge thank you to Mr Lopez for coordinating such a meaningful day and to the teachers who led the activities with such care and dedication.

In Week 6, Year 7 came together for their highly anticipated Talent Show, showcasing the incredible array of skills within our cohort. The audience was beautifully behaved, showing respect and encouragement to every performer. Thank you to our standout acts!:
- Jazz Annan’s hilarious comedy routine
- Max Hayes bringing the house down with All I Want for Christmas Is You
- The Year 7 Girls Rock Band, who’ve worked tirelessly over months to deliver an epic performance
- Joe Berriman and Matthew Gavin Laws, rocking out with their high-energy set
- Taylah Webb’s self-written drama monologue, which captivated the crowd
- Milly Owens’ stunning solo piano performance
- And, of course, the teachers’ spirited Nutbush routine to close the show!
It was a show filled with talent, laughter, and unity—a true reflection of the wonderful community we have in Year 7.
THANK YOU AND FAREWELL TO 2024
As this year concludes, I feel privileged to have been part of your children’s journey as they transitioned into high school. They have laid a strong foundation for the years ahead, and I can’t wait to see them continue to grow and shine as they move into Year 8.
Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and blessed Christmas. I look forward to seeing everyone again in 2025!
'With Jesus we can reach the highest of heights.'
