CHRISTMAS MASS
On Tuesday 17 December the school community celebrated the end of the school year with Mass in the hall. Fr Joseph presided and other ministries were undertaken by students, staff retiring this year and the Youth Ministry Leaders. A unique feature of the school Mass was the procession of the Vinnies Christmas baskets which took place just before the liturgical preparation of the gifts. The Mass concluded with the joyous singing of the school hymn, Pax Christi, led by the school vocal group.

VINNIES CHRISTMAS BASKET APPEAL
St John's continue the wonderful tradition of our Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Each PALS group are given a family to purchase appropriate presents for as well as donating food items and christmas goodies. The St Vincent de Paul Society will deliver the baskets to over 50 families in the local area that are doing it tough this christmas.
Our Year 12 leaders volunteered their time on Wednesday to pack the baskets ready for them to be collected by our local Vinnies.
Thank you to the St John's community for once again supporting this extremely worthy cause.
