YEAR 9 NEWS
What an incredible Year 9 has shared together. I have been very impressed with the growth in their maturity, their willingness to embrace leadership roles, and their contributions to the St. John's community. This was wonderfully demonstrated during the PALS Christmas Door Decoration competition, where Year 9 students participated with enthusiasm and creativity. They also showed great spirit by supporting the Hawaiian/Christmas Mufti Day, wearing vibrant red and green outfits alongside some wonderfully colourful Hawaiian shirts, which brought an extra splash of joy and energy to the event.
On Tuesday, we will come together, not only as a school but also as a year group, to celebrate the achievements of Year 9 students. It is important that we share in these celebrations as a collective and take the opportunity to enjoy one another’s company while reflecting on the memorable and fun moments we have experienced throughout the year.
I would also like to thank the PALS teachers for their ongoing support and encouragement of their students. Their guidance has been invaluable in fostering a positive and engaging environment for Year 9 to thrive.
I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead for this group in Year 10, 2025, and I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of each student.
Wishing all students and their families a safe and joyful Christmas.
'Strong minds and gracious hearts.'
