WELCOME TO 2025

It has been a successful start to the 2025 school year. We extend a warm welcome to all of our new students and families, including the new Year 7 cohort. Thank you to all students who have returned to school with the correct uniform, showing pride in and a commitment to our school.

NEW AFFIRMATION / MERIT SYSTEM

We are beginning the year with the introduction of a new Affirmation System that aims to recognise student achievement across a range of areas. Students now have the opportunity to gain merits within three categories; Positive Behaviour, Learning and Engagement, and Community and Leadership. As students accumulate merits in each category they will be rewarded with Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Additionally, students that achieve a Gold Award will be eligible to receive a badge for that particular category. A student that achieves a badge in all three categories will be eligible for the Spirit of St John’s Award. The new system will be rolled out in 2025 and will be fully implemented in 2026 as merits accumulate and then reset at the end of each stage of learning.
