PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
THANK YOU FOR A GREAT TERM 1 !
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we continue to settle into the new year, as a staff, we want to take a moment to express our sincere thanks for your ongoing support and partnership this term. Your involvement in your child or the children in your care’s education plays an essential role in fostering a strong and positive learning environment and we are grateful for the contributions you make to this collective effort.
As mentioned in previous newsletters, we are pleased to report that we have started the term on a very positive note. Students are demonstrating increased readiness to learn with a noticeable commitment to their learning growth. Their involvement in class activities, discussions, and collaborative projects has been fantastic, and we believe this is a direct result of the strong support and encouragement they are receiving both at school and at home. The culture of learning seems to be thriving and we are excited to witness what the rest of the term and the year brings
Additionally, it should come as no surprise, our behaviour data has shown encouraging trends. We are pleased to share that behaviour incidents across the school are lower than in previous years, reflecting a more focused and respectful approach to learning and engagement with staff and students.
In previous newsletters, I mentioned several significant whole-school changes that we have implemented this year to support peaceful relationships and excellence in learning across our community. To truly understand the impact and effect we are having, we want to hear the voice of our community at all levels. As such, we will be surveying staff, students and parents to hear their thoughts on the direction of St John The Evangelist Catholic High School.
Below is a link to the Parent/Carer Survey for 2025. If you have a few moments, it would be greatly appreciated if we could hear your voice on the following areas:
- Updated SJE Graduate Profile
- SJE Learning Culture
- SJE Community Partnerships
- SJE Catholic Identity
We look forward to continuing this momentum throughout the year and remain grateful for your dedication to your child's success.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and productive remainder of the term.
