HMAS CRESWELL EVENT

On the 27th March it was an honour to be invited as a Defence School Mentor to the HMAS Creswell Cocktail Party. I had the opportunity to socialise with the 190 New Entry Officers Course intake and help them improve their social skills.

The New Entry Officers Course (NEOC) is an 18-week initial entry program conducted residentially at HMAS Creswell. It teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be an effective junior naval officer.

It was also wonderful to catch up with Bridgette Fairs, who graduated last year and will be addressing our ANZAC Assembly this year.

LUCY BACALES - MEDAL AND CERTIFICATE AT ANZAC COMMEMORATION

Congratulations to Lucy Balcales on receiving her medal and certificate and attending the RSL all Schools ANZAC Commemoration on Thursday, 3 April 2025, at the ANZAC Memorial, Hyde Park, which was presented by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC Governor General of NSW and also got to meet Dallas McInerey the head of Catholic Schools NSW.

Lucy's artwork was on the program's front cover, and was also a VIP guest at the service. Then, Lucy spent time with artists at the Art Museum.

What an outstanding Achievement, Lucy! We are so proud.

ANZAC SERVICES

We look forward to many students marching in the holidays and attending ANZAC Services in our local communities. I also hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a Happy Easter.

ANZAC ASSEMBLY

I look forward to the participation of Defence families in our upcoming ANZAC Assembly on May 1, 2025. Defence students and families are invited to a morning tea following the assembly, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.

Year 12's last ANZAC Assembly, a significant event in our school's calendar where we come together to remember and honor the sacrifices of our servicemen and women.
