NEWS FROM DIVERSE LEARNING
EXCITING CHANGES FOR DIVERSE LEARNING IN 2025!
We’re excited to share that Diverse Learning has a new name and a new location in 2025! Now known as the Diverse Learning Hub, we are proudly based in A Block.
Our hub now includes three multicategorical classes, supporting students across Stage 4, Stage 5, and Stage 6.
In addition to our specialist classes, we continue to work closely with students in the mainstream, providing tailored learning plans, intensive support, and exam provisions to help every learner thrive. Riot, our Wellbeing Dog, continues to be a proactive member of our team.

MC4
In MC4, students have been engaging positively with our whole school focus on being Ready to Learn. This includes consistently practising important routines such as lining up quietly outside the classroom, standing behind desks to greet one another, and settling quickly to begin learning.
We are thoroughly enjoying our new learning space and are exploring the use of different classroom zones. These include our Learning Area, Chill Out Space, Reset Learning Space, as well as a Games and Creative Area. The additional space also allows for wonderful opportunities to collaborate with other MC classes during shared learning experiences, which has been a highlight for both students and staff.

MC5 AND MC6
MC5 students have been engaging in some thoughtful discussions around the learning continuum, which includes stages such as disrupting, avoiding, withdrawing, participating, investing, and driving learning. Together, we unpacked what each stage might look like in a classroom setting and how it can influence the learning environment—for both individuals and the whole class.
Students then worked collaboratively to reflect on these behaviours and brought their ideas to life through creative representations. These reflections helped deepen their understanding of how we can all take ownership of our learning journey.
Take a look at some of the fantastic work they produced below!

Students in MC5 and MC6 have been enthusiastically engaging in a range of real-life work scenarios as part of their Work and Community Studies program. These hands-on experiences are helping them develop practical skills, build confidence, and prepare for life beyond the classroom.
