2025 ILLAWARRA REGIONAL DA VINCI DECATHLON
Teams from Years 7 - 10 travelled to Figtree on Thursday, 1st May 2025 and Friday 2nd May 2025 to compete in the Illawarra Regional Decathlon. The Davinci Declathlon is an academic enrichment opportunity for High Performing and Gifted Students in which our students completed against teams across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra in a range of diverse tasks in engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography and legacy. The theme for the 2025 da Vinci Decathlon wass Sustainability. All our teams performed well against extremely gifted teams from across the region. Our Year 7 team achieved a 2ndd in the Legacy section and a 3rd in the Engineering Section. Well done to all our teams.
YEAR 12 DANCE
Ms Lloyd and year 12 have been busily preparing for their HSC practical exams only a few months away! Learning and choreographing their performances and compositions,
the class have been engaging with peer-feedback, mock performances and are showing significant growth in both their dance technique and self-confidence.
MORTEN ELLERINGTON - YEAR 7
St John's are proud to recognise Morten Ellerington of Year 7, a talented young athlete from Callala Bay who continues to shine across AFL, netball, athletics and cross-country. 

He’s a standout middle-distance runner and competed at State level in athletics – an incredible achievement!
Morten has also been selected to play in the Junior State Title in June in Sydney representing Baulkham Hills Netball U14 boy's team.
His dedication, talent and drive are truly inspiring.

LILY SPROULE - YEAR 10
On Friday 4 April, Lily Sproule of Year 10 competed in the U17, 800m at the Australian Athletics Championships in Perth. Lily came 4th in her heat and 10th overall in Australia, just missing out on the final by one place.
