YEAR 7 AND 8 BOY'S NETBALL TEAM

The recent netball carnival, held on Wednesday 28th May, was a resounding success and an enjoyable day for all involved. The students approached each game with energy, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of sportsmanship. Their commitment to teamwork was evident throughout the day and they were a credit to both themselves and the school.

The team delivered an exceptional all-round performance. The attackers were ruthless, scoring at a high percentage. The midcourt players controlled the tempo of each match and fed the attackers with precision. Defensively, the team worked tirelessly to shut down opposition drives and restrict shooting opportunities.

The team played four matches and emerged victorious in all – a fantastic result that reflects their dedication and skill. They recorded impressive wins, including:

  • 18–2 victory over Nowra High School 8 White

  • 22–0 win against Nowra High School 7

  • 21–4 win over Vincentia High School

  • 16–2 triumph against Nowra High School Blue

The team's success on the day will see them progress through to the next stage of competition. The team: Cayden Jiro Baluyut, Tyler Terlich, Will Rundle, Braith Baker, Flynn Hackney, Tyler Exton, Thomas Hickmott, Jack Butler, Sylas Murphy, Morten Ellerington, Noah Claven and Hendrix McCauley.

Special thanks go to Amelia Mansfield for her expert insight and for coaching the boys on the day – her leadership made a significant impact. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Tori Martin for her wonderful umpiring, ensuring our games were played fairly and smoothly.

A big thank you to Sean Gray for his outstanding coaching and preparation of the team in the lead-up to the carnival. His guidance and support played a crucial role in the team's success.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the parents whose attendance, support, and encouragement were both valued and greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to all team members on their outstanding effort, teamwork, and for proudly representing the school!

YEAR 9 AND 10 GIRL'S NETBALL TEAM

The girls performed exceptionally well across the day getting better as the day went on. They played 6 games and won all 6, most very comfortably. The girls demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship. Throughout their games the girls demonstrated exceptional defensive skills and were able to limit the oppositions ability to advance the ball down the court. I look forward to watching the team continue to develop as they progress to the next level.

YEAR 9 AND 10 BOY'S BLUE NETBALL TEAM

The 9/10 Boys Blue netball team put on an outstanding performance, finishing second overall on the day. With three confident wins and just one narrow loss to the other St John's team, the boys displayed skill, determination, and great sportsmanship throughout.

Oliver, Cody, and Jackson were standout shooters, consistently finding the net under pressure. In the midcourt, Benji, Brody, Kai, and Dean showed excellent control and teamwork, driving the ball forward and supporting both ends of the court. Defenders Hugh and Luke were rock-solid, making it tough for opponents to score.

It was a fantastic day all around, and the boys now look ahead to the regional finals – a well-deserved achievement!

Thank you to Maddy Butler (Year 11) for her skills and coaching expertise.
