YEAR 11 NEWS

Students during week 8 will be given the opportunity to reflect on their progress so far this year having now received their reports via Compass.

Students will be provided with a reflection document which will be completed in extended PALS. This will form the basis of ongoing learning conversations to be had between student and PALS teachers.

VISUAL ARTS

The Year 11 Visual Art class has been very creative this semester.  Students have been studying the theme of Portraiture throughout the history of Visual Art.  Expanding upon this knowledge; students have explored a variety of media, materials and techniques to develop a BOW showcasing portraits of self or of those dear to them. 

SOCIAL SPORT

Year 11 played their first rounds of our social European handball competition this week (8) This is to encourage social interaction and just a time to relax with each other. 

REMINDER - ABSENCE / ILLNESS / MISADVENTURE

If a student is absent on the day of a common task the office must be notified and the student must complete a Misadventure Form on their return and supply supporting evidence. ie: Medical Cerificate

Do not assume misadventure forms will be approved. Holidays, routine appointments, part-time work, driving tests, sporting commitments without principles approval and technical problems concerning computers, printers or internet access will not be considered to be an acceptable form of misadventure. 

It is very important for students and their parents to continue to communicate with teachers if they are struggling with any aspects of the course or if they believe they are eligible for a misadventure.
