YEAR 7 NEWS
What an amazing Term it has been for Year 7. They have really settled in well to the community here at St John’s. It was amazing to see the way that they immersed themselves into the festivities of Foundation Day. The smiles on students faces at the end of the day really showed how much they got out of the day and felt a part of the school community.
A big thank you to all the parents, grandparents, godparents and guardians that came to our G Day celebrations. This is important event in our calendar that we celebrate annually with our Year 7 cohort.
The reverent way that students participated in the day was something to really be proud of. It was clear how important these people are to the students in their actions and participation on the day.
Moving into Term 3 students would have received their reports. I challenge students to set learning goals for the coming semester and work towards improvement of these reports.
A reminder about who to contact if there are any concerns that you are having with your child's wellbeing or learning. Emailing the school at info@sje.dow.catholic.edu.au and asking to direct the email to the specific person you need. Teachers will respond as soon as they can but please allow time for teachers to get back to you. Please do not directly email teachers as this is not the preferred method of contact.
Wishing all of Year 7 a safe and happy break and look forward to seeing their amazing growth next term.
