YEAR 7 NEWS
A big welcome back to all our students and families as we kick off the new term! We hope everyone had a wonderful break and is feeling refreshed and ready for a term packed with learning and fun.
SUMMER UNIFORM
Just a friendly reminder that with the warmer weather here, we have officially switched to our summer uniform. Please ensure your child is wearing the correct summer attire each day. A reminder of the uniform requirements can be found on the school website or by checking your student diary. Each student has marked on their timetable the days that they can wear sports uniform. A reminder that wearing the wrong uniform will result in withdrawal.
THE YEAR 7 HOUSE CUP IS ON!
We are excited to announce a fantastic new initiative for our Year 7 students: the PALS Mini House Cup! This term, the Year 7 PALS groups will be competing against each other to claim the title.
The Cup will involve a variety of engaging activities designed to promote teamwork, healthy competition, and critical thinking. Students will have the chance to earn points through:
- Sporting Challenges: Fun, inclusive activities to get everyone moving.
- Trivia Quizzes: Testing general knowledge and classroom learning.
- Logic and Problem-Solving Games: Putting those sharp minds to the test.
The best part? It's not just about winning the activities! We want to celebrate great citizenship and positive behaviour. Every positive affirmation a student receives in class—for great effort, helpfulness, participation, or respect—will also be counted as valuable house points. This means every student has the opportunity to contribute to their team's success simply by being their best self!
Let's make this a term of great effort, great fun, and great team spirit! Good luck to all our Year 7 PALS groups!
