HOMEWORK CENTRE OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS
Students are making the most of the free tutoring, collaborative learning and afternoon tea at our Gooroon Homework Centre on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm to 4:30pm. Sessions are held every Wednesday during Weeks 2-9 each term and open to all St John's students.
Students are encouraged to advise their teachers if they plan to attend these sessions and work on a specific assignment as quite often class teachers will call in to ensure students are on the right track and ensure they are well supported.
We thank our wonderful teachers and AIME mentors who volunteer their time to assist.
PARENT GOOROON MEETING
We wish to thank parents and carers for their contributions at our Term 3 Parent Gooroon Meeting on 14 August, helping to ensure students are being well supported at school.
ABORIGINAL DANCERS REPRESENTING ST JOHN'S
Our Aboriginal Dance Troupes, Gudjarahs have been fantastic ambassadors, performing at several events this month. The troupe enjoyed performing at Orient Point & Districts Preschool for their NAIDOC Celebration, as well as performing at TAFE and Greenwell Gardens Nursing Home.
