ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

ACTIVITIES
The teachers have worked hard to ensure that a range of fantastic activities have been planned for activities week. Our Year 7 to 9 students have made their choices and are looking forward to two days (16-17 December) of lots of adventure, fun and time with friends. Parents are reminded that these days are compulsory school days and all students must attend their chosen activity.
UNIFORM 2020

As mentioned a few weeks back, we are concerned about the way a number of students are wearing their sports shorts. Many girls are wearing shorts which are too short and too tight - they clearly are wrongly sized. We have informed students that they have the holidays to rectify this situation. Shorts should be loose fitting and loosely be above the knee. Parents should be guided by the assistants in Lowes if you are unsure.
So too, we have concerns with a number of girls who are wearing their skirts too short. I ask parents to ensure that skirts are lengthened over the holidays or new skirts purchased. We do have high expectations of the way our students wear their uniforms. It should always be worn well and with pride. There will be consequences for students from the beginning of the year if they are not wearing their uniform as stated in the school diary.
AWARDS CEREMONIES
It was fantastic to have our very first Year 10 Awards presentation this week. Students presented themselves very well and were justifiably proud of their achievements.
All parents are invited to attend the Year 7 to 9 Mass and awards presentation next week with Mass commencing at 9.30am. An invitation has been emailed home with all of the details. The students love to have their parents, carers and relatives celebrate their success with them. I look forward to seeing our families next Friday.
Have a good week!
