SAFE TRAVELS

There are several concerns about the collection of students from school in the afternoon. Please observe the following guidelines to ensure the safety of all our students.

• It is a 40km/h zone from 2.30 - 4.00pm and Police may monitor this expectation at any time
• Year 12 students should depart their parking spot in a safe manner - always aware of the safety of those students and members of the public around them. 
• The student pick up zone has a 2 minute waiting limit.
  
  It will only operate in the morning before school. Students will not be able to be collected from the pick up zone in the afternoon from Monday 24 February. A bollard will block entry to the drop off zone from 8.30 onwards. 
• Students CANNOT enter a car on the roadside. 
• Parents are asked to not park in the carpark across from the bus bay. Students are not to walk across the road to that carpark as it is a designated bus route and not safe for pedestrians. 

These guidelines are in place to ensure the safety of all students and their families. We suggest for parents to stagger the pick up to after 3.05pm onwards when cars begin to clear from the netball courts. There is a staff member on crossing duty who ensures that all students cross to the netball courts safely. 

We have a well organised system to get students onto buses safely and if parents park around the corner from the school, it is only a minute's walk for the students and they can get in the car safely. Students who are in walking distance from the school are encouraged to do so to assist in the reduction of traffic. UNIFORM

Thank you to the majority of girls who are wearing their sports shorts correctly. We have asked Lowes to assist you when purchasing the shorts to get the correct sizing. Should any girl not wear the shorts appropriately they will be off the playground or asked to purchase new shorts if necessary.
