YEAR 10 NEWS
PRESENTATION AWARD CEREMONY
Well done to Year 10 who maintained an excellent sense of occasion throughout the awards ceremony last Friday. It was so pleasing to see so many Year 10 students receive whole school awards. Students also received awards across a range of KLA’s and Special awards within their year group.
OP SHOP BALL
Well done to all involved in the Op Shop Ball for Year 10, there was a range of amazing outfits and some interesting dance moves that really entertained on the day.

A massive shout out to the PDHPE faculty for organising and running the event.

TRANSITION WEEK
Year 10 participated in a Transition Week Program aimed at preparing students for the increased demands of senior schooling. It is hoped that this program allowed students to be future focussed, goal driven, and inspire them to be role models and future leaders within the school. The week was also a chance for Year 10 to reflect upon the positive experiences of work experience and aim for personal growth as they move towards Year 11.

Some of the programs/ activities that students participated include;
- Future careers and studies
- Study/ organisational skills
- Black Dog Mental Health Fitness Challenge
- Your Choices- Making good choices
- Creating habits that lead to success- Human Connections, Preparing for senior studies
- Exploring learning dispositions and how to embed them into learning opportunities
- Promoting leadership within the cohort
- Proactive wellbeing strategies to deal with increased pressures of senior schooling (Mindfulness, Nutrition, Wellbeing)
- Develop resilience as an individual and year group when faced with adversity

A heartfelt thank you to Miss Prayento for all her time and effort in the development and planning to ensure the week ran smoothly. Transition week would not have been possible without the countless hours she put in to ensure the program got off the ground. Thank you to the Year 10 PALS team who gave up their time to deliver the program and support the Year 10’s as they move toward their senior schooling. I’m humbled and grateful to work with such a fantastic team!
