DEFENCE FAMILY NEWS
ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIONS
Several students and staff members showed their respects this year, attending local ANZAC services on Sunday 25 April as well as many participating in ANZAC Light up the Dawn at home.

Students in our learning support class did an outstanding job of preparing ANZAC wreaths to distribute to the local memorials. The wreaths are an environmentally friendly option as we plan to continue growing the succulents and deliver these to nursing homes in our area.

THURSDAY'S ANZAC ASSEMBLY
Our 2021 ANZAC Assembly was a respectful and reverent tribute to those who have served our nation. We had an excellent presentation from Ms Cupitt's Year 10 History Elective class celebrating the Centenary of the RAAF.

Our Navy cadets formed a guard on stage while the Last Post and Reveille were played by Year 10 and Year 12 students.

Our guest speaker was Acting Sub-Lieutenant Brad Lewis who has two children at our school. Father Leo reflected on the Gospel and his time in the Australian Army.
JONATHON ROGERS NURSING HOME
Last week Year 10 students Laney Unsworth & Bethany Fenech attended Jonathon Rogers Nursing Home contributing to their ANZAC ceremony.
